The ASAC President, Mike Close, attended one session of the Australian Parachute Federation (APF) Board Meeting held on 28th May 2010. Mike gave a presentation on the ASAC background and structure, and the role that ASAC has in supporting the member organisations.
His presence was appreciated by the APF Board. After the meeting Mike commented that it was interesting to see the similarities in some the Board discussions with those of the Model Aeronautical Association of Australia, whose Council Meeting he attended the weekend before. He saw this as further evidence that even with such diverse operations, the challenges all sports aviation faces have many common aspects and that by working together we can benefit from everyone’s experiences and generator an even more exciting future for everyone.
